Remember 2018

When I first visited this charming seaside town back in 2018, I was pleasantly surprised by its beauty and size. The nice views of the ocean and the stunning sunset at the Front Beach, the quaint streets lined with colorful markets, and the friendly locals all combined to create a truly unforgettable experience. I have since returned to this lovely town several times and each time I am reminded of why it holds such a special place in my heart. Whether you’re looking for a peaceful escape or an adventure-filled holiday, this seaside town is the perfect destination for anyone looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life.

Vung Tau is my paradise

Vung Tau is a popular coastal city located on a peninsula in southern Vietnam. It is a popular weekend escape for those living in Ho Chi Minh City, offering a refreshing change with its sea air and warm climate. The temperature in Vung Tau rarely drops below 23°C, making it a popular destination for tourists, especially from Australia, Britain, and the United States, who enjoy the low cost of living.

The city has a vibrant expat community consisting of oil industry workers, teachers, pensioners, and tourists. The locals are friendly and approachable, and many are eager to practice their English. Vung Tau has a population of approximately 400,000 and is a 2-hour drive from Ho Chi Minh City.
